EARTH IS THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE DESPITE COPERNICUS!

The earth is truly the center of the universe, despite the perfectly valid observations of science. The earth is quite peripheral in the physical universe, but it is also central to the heart of God who consistently chooses seemingly insignificant particulars as objects of God’s favor. The call of Abraham, the annunciation to Mary, and the choice of Paul, all reveal the importance God places on particulars, and God’s choice of the earth as the particular place of the incarnation makes earth the most important rock in the universe so far as we can know. God calls each of us in particular to accept his salvation, and we need respond to him in particular as he has come in Jesus Christ, not to whatever ephemeral notions of God we might find attractive.
